Oxnard fugitive arrested in Texas
Christina DeLeon, the final suspect police were seeking in connection with the robbery and fatal shooting of Oxnard businessman Gurmohinder Singh, was arrested this morning in Texas, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
"That's good news," said R. Jason Benites, assistant chief of police, after Oxnard detectives learned of the arrest of DeLeon, 25. Few details were immediately available, but according to an initial report she was taken into custody in the Dallas area.
Last week, a Ventura County grand jury indicted DeLeon and five other suspects, including alleged triggerman Jeffrey Aguilar, in connection with the robbery and killing of the store owner outside a bank where he made a withdrawal.
Singh, 55, an owner of convenience stores and meat and produce markets, was shot Aug. 16 after he withdrew cash from the U.S. Bank at 2385 N. Oxnard Blvd. in Oxnard. Aguilar was arrested 10 days later in Carpinteria and charged with murder.
Oxnard detectives and other officers launched an investigation that led to a criminal indictment being filed against five additional suspects. DeLeon was charged with accessory to murder.
The other four suspects, who already were in custody when the indictments were announced earlier this week, have been identified as Maria Lissette Urena Bucio, 27, Mario Cervantes, 25, Chrystal Ceja, 23, and Lance Brown, 25. All the suspects, including Aguilar, 22, are from Oxnard.

mrya_99,
I called Mr. Keith at OPD. He said that later today or tomorrow, on the OPD website, www.oxnardpd.org, (Straight To You) you will be able to see the press conference the DA had about the arrests and indictments of the 6 people involved in the bank murder.
The webcast will have pictures of all the scumbags and video of Aguilar being put into a police car.

The family should sue the gang and all of its members, like the guy did in the recent KKK case, get a huge judgement against the gang and put the gang and each member subject to the judgement. Take all of their assets, homes, bikes, cars, pipes etc.
Such a shame, scum kills hard working immigrant.

jusme,
Since we don't know what's 'goin on', as you put it, you must know more than the rest of us. So set the record straight. Why is Brown innocent?

Thanks Mr. Keith.

Based on the actions of Aguilar after the crime he is the one who murdered Singh.
As far as the others, we shall see when they get to court if they are proven to be guilty beyond a shadow of doubt.
I'm sure the Singh family has some sense of closure now. Such a loss.

jusme,
Thanks for responding.
But, as we all know family will lie to family, especially if they are really scared or embarrassed.
It's happened many, many times before to alot of families, even the most trusting ones-only to be completely caught off guard when the truth comes out.
I think it's the extreme dissapointment that one feels towards letting the family down. Never suspecting that he or she could ever do such a thing.
Or, the shame one feels that they will bring a terrible sitation into the family will cause one to say anything but the truth.

Civil suits against gangs and gang members is a new tool against them. Just take everything the gang members own. And many have substantual holdings. Could be a great way to put them out of business. If they have the tats, they are members. It is kinda sorta a "class action."

jusme,
I've been reading your comments about Brown. Here's my two cents.
You may be right about Brown cuz we don't know your family.
However, people with kids do stupid things all the time that cause them to lose their kids to CPS.
How many times have you heard or read about a dad doing crimes while his wife or girlfriend is pregnant. He gets busted and he's gone to jail or prison.
Even females are doing crimes while pregnant or already have kids. They get theirs taken away too, sometimes the kids are born in jail or prison. In fact, more and more you are reading about moms committing crimes and getting their kids taken away or going with a relative.
It happens every single day. So just cuz Brown has a kid on the way means nothing anymore.
Maybe he is the exception, but I doubt it. We'll see what happens during the trial and where he stands.

I would be ashamed to be related to any of these people. I find it funny how when some one goes to jail, they immediately use their family as a crutch..."He's been doing good, he has kids, he loves his kids, blah blah blah."
He obviously didn't love them enough to stay out of trouble, now did he?

Well, I can tell it's bugging you.
You sound like a lost illiterate fool, in total denial.
You can't express yourself well, you can't spell, immediately you want to call everyone a "b____!"
Why, because that's all you know. You aren't intelligent enough to have a conversation like a regular human being.
As to not commenting about this case, we have the right to comment on anything we want, including your loser relative-Lance Brown.
If he is anything like you, no wonder he's in trouble.
Go ahead jusme, cus me out too. Show us just how foolish and stupid you are with that great vocabulary of yours.

She had NOTHING to do with this, before the fact, during, or after.. It's sad they put all this time and effort into this case just to try and ruin an innocent persons life.. But I'll have faith in at least the jury, and all the edvidence the DA (whatever you guys call em in Cali) won't be able to provide!

hey Deanne, you must not know your cousin very well. You say she has never been in trouble before so explain to me why she was arrested for having a ounce of meth and an ounce of pot? Or how about her involvement in several vehicle thefts in northern california, while already on probation for another crime incidents? and if she has never been involved in a gang then why did she always tag up the town with her " gang name" 'LA LA'. She's guilty and you know it.
