Exciting excursions and events planned for local seniors

Seniors age 50 and over are invited to participate in excursions planned over the next few months through the Simi Valley Senior Center. These group activities open to seniors outside the Simi Valley area, so invite your friends and relatives to come along. For further information on all activities, contact the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi, Simi Valley, 805-583-6363. Ask for Recreation Coordinators, Sue, Stan, or Karen.

MEXICAN RIVIERA CRUISE: Sail on the beautiful Carnival Pride to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta November 30 to December 7, 2008 (eight days and seven nights). The price of $641.00 per person double occupancy (inside cabin) or $741.00 per person double occupancy (outside cabin) includes port charges, taxes, round trip motor coach to Long Beach, baggage handling and tip for drivers. A $250.00 deposit per person, medical form and optional trip insurance is due soon

BRANSON: Join us for this six day and five night trip October 9-14, 2008. The cost includes round tip air, motor coach, tour guide, five nights hotel, eight Branson shows, five dinners and five breakfasts. The cost is $1,599.00 per person double occupancy and $1,899.00 per person single occupancy. A $200.00 deposit per person is due upon reservation and the full payment by August 29, 2008

The games are: Basketball Shooting Skills; Bingo; Bunco; 8-Ball Pool; Golf; Horseshoes; Shuffleboard; 1-Mile Fun Walk; Pickleball (modified paddle tennis); Poker; Indoor Lawn Bowling; Ping Pong; Bridge. Clinics are offered for some games. Registration deadline is Monday, September 15
