Taste of Simi and Mega Mixer Draws Crowd of 1700

Judging by the crowd of approximately 1700, the recent Taste of Simi and Mega Mixer, sponsored by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce, was a MEGA success. We could not be more pleased with the amazing turnout for this years combined event, said Leigh Nixon, CEO for the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce. Attendance was nearly double that of last years.
Forty two vendors and 19 restaurants participated in the Mega Event, which was held at Lost Canyons Golf Club. The event offered local vendors the opportunity to showcase their products and services, plus invaluable networking. The large number of vendors taking part in this years mixer is validation that business is thriving in Simi Valley.
Simis finest restaurants were on hand serving up hefty samples of tasty and delectable cuisine, such as spicy seafood chili, succulent shrimp with hot peppers, mouthwatering Italian meatballs and delicious crème brulee. There was something to satisfy everyones taste buds. It was a great event. There were a lot more people in attendance than we anticipated, said Marie Kusulas with Bartons Steak & Seafood Restaurant. The venue was beautiful and we will participate again next year.
