Suspect in fatal stabbing is released from jail

Gloria Taylor, the woman arrested this week on suspicion of killing Tina Fuller in Oxnard, was released from jail early Thursday morning, authorities said.

The District Attorney's Office decided not to file charges against Taylor because there was insufficient evidence, Chief Assistant District Attorney James Ellison said on Wednesday.

Police responding to a report of a fight in the 2000 block of North H Street just before noon Monday found Fuller, 39, of Oxnard with stab wounds to her chest. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taylor, who also goes by the name of Gloria Valadez, was questioned and then arrested on suspicion of the killing.

She remains a suspect in the case, said Sgt. Jim Seitz of the Oxnard Police Department.

"My information is that she is the only suspect," Seitz said.

The investigation is continuing, he said.

This is one of Tina's neices, Vallie. I have known Tina since My cousin (her daugter) was born. She is one of the coolest people that you can meet. She DID NOT deserve to die! We are so distraught, and sad over this nonsense. I was looking forward to celebrating her Big 40th birthday with her and my sister and my neice that share the same birthday with Tina. We are in mourning...and whoever did this to her...God will take care of you. R.I.P. Tina Boo...We will always love you and remember the good times we had!!! Love, your neices
