A longtime Santa Paula Union High School District board member said he will not run for re-election in November.
In a brief letter this week to The Star, trustee Robert Salas said he is ready to step down after nearly 13 years on the board.
Superintendent David Gomez said Salas will be missed.
"He has been a great board member," Gomez said. "He was always focused on what was best for students and the district."
