Oxnard Police Department investigators are still trying to piece together details of the death of an Oxnard woman Monday.

Officers responded to a report of a fight at 11:40 a.m. Monday in the 2000 block of North H Street, said Sgt. Kevin Baysinger.

When officers arrived, they found emergency personnel attending to a woman with possible stab wounds lying in a driveway between two houses. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, Baysinger said.

Officials from the Ventura County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office identified the woman as Tina Fuller, 39, of Oxnard. An autopsy was to be performed this morning, said Deputy Medical Examiner Shasta Gainer.

Baysinger said police were interviewing possible witnesses at the police station.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested Gloria Taylor, 30, of Oxnard.

"Initial findings show it does not appear to be gang-related," said Sgt. Steve Moore of the Oxnard Police Department.

Steve Abraham of Oxnard was riding his motorcycle on the normally quiet street when he saw a woman signaling for help as fire trucks and emergency personnel pulled up to the scene.

"She was hysterical, jumping up and down ... and she had blood on her, too," said Abraham, who returned to the neighborhood a few hours after the incident. "She asked me if her friend was still moving. I was just trying to comfort her and got her to calm down. I looked and I didn't see her (Fuller) moving. She was on her side and there was just a lot of blood."

Abraham and other residents said Fuller's husband also arrived at the scene.

"He kept on saying, It's my fault, it's my fault. We shouldn't have come to Oxnard,' " Abraham, 43, said.

Police blocked off the area for more than eight hours as curious onlookers gathered near the corner of North H and Bluebell streets.

Sounds like maybe the husband had a very jealous mistress, and all too sorry now. Yulp, should of stayed where you came from.
It's my take anyway, could be wrong.
Condolences to any family.

It is really scary when a person can't stand in a driveway at mid-morning. Hope they have the right person in custody. Rest in peace Tina.

Ventu - I said "Sounds like maybe the husband had a very jealous mistress".
I'm not familiar with the area, as other posters may be, so just my take. Why does this husband think it's his fault? Just because he brought the family out here, I think not!

I don't get it? So they arrested the friend? Or how did they go about arresting the female suspect? Very tragic nonthelesss. My prayers to the victim and her family.

"He kept on saying, It's my fault, it's my fault. We shouldn't have come to Oxnard,' "

Another harsh reality hits another O town victim.

Very sad. May she rest in peace.

These words which everyone is trying to make a case from came for a person who did not talk to the husband but this is what he though he over heard. It is always the case where the media will interview some one near the scene and get all kinds of stuff, some of it may be good information but some is not. So everyone make comments jumping to all kinds of conclusions. Let us wait until the police do their job.
I feel sorry for the family it is sad when anyone life is taken.

Thank god I don't live in Oxnard anymore. I grew up there and it's sad to hear that this once beautiful city is turning into a war zone. I wonder if any personnel from law enforcement stopped to consider the fact that the gang injunction is driving the crime out of Oxnard and further into other surrounding cities of the county. Maybe they should make a gang injunction for all cities of Ventura County as well to keep them killers off the streets. It's probably safer to live in Rose park or Colonia than it is to live in the other parts of Oxnard these days...

"He kept on saying, It's my fault, it's my fault. We shouldn't have come to Oxnard,"

Is Oxnard the only place to officially get stabbed? Oh wait, it's the one of the places where the media posts these cases on the front page...Media loves those comments from grieving families.

Let's wait and see what the investigation finds.

Lame, didn't they say it wasn't gang related??? Maybe if you read better you'd understand what is really happening here.

I've lived here my whole life and I work in Westlake Village. I've gotten into more confrontations in Westlake in the last few years than here. I feel as safe here as I do on Oak Park or Westlake.

dgonzales121---

I agree with you 110%. I as well relocated out of Oxnard and later realized it was a smart move. I grew up most of my childhood in La Colonia where my grandparents lived and some of my family still resides today. Let me tell you I'd rather visit La Colonia then anywhere in Oxnard.

My Condolences to the family.

From what I have been told, there was no bad blood between the two whatsoever. In fact, Tina Fuller and the attacker had never met or even seen each-other prior to the attack. My mother and Tina were invited to the home by an old friend of the family who failed to inform either of the two that his "niece" had a raging temper. The two, ( my mother and tina) were going to leave once they noticed the raging relative, but they were cornered in the hall before they could break. Her boyfriend was not involved, what he meant by "I should not have brought her to Oxnard-" was the fact that she was so kindhearted and was easily accepting of alot of the families and people she'd meet. My family has taken a serious loss with the death of Tina. Like I have stated before, please do not judge. The facts and the truth will come in due time. For the record, they do have the right person in custody. The newspapers and articles here online are a bit tweaked.

Hi. I am Tina's Uncle here in Seattle. I would like to Thank all of you for your condolences.
I don't understand this sensless act of violents at all. Did Gloria THINK before stabbing a indiviual, that Tina has a family that loves her very much? Gloria has devastated a whole large entire family over her cowardly act. Pray for Tina's daughter and grandchild that they may get over this, and move forward in their lives in a Godly way. As for Gloria, I pray for you too..you will have to deal with this on Judgement day. Peace and love to you folks out there in Cali...I hope life get better there in Oxnard. We love you Tina..Love Uncle Jeff.

To Mr. Jeff- I am so sorry that you have to experience this. We are all so hurt. We are waiting for her daughter, here in Oxnard, so that she can hear the entirety of it and possibly get the answers that she needs to hear. Tina was a really good person, pure and kind. My mother is handling this as well as she can and hopes to provide some closure for everyone. -Juanita in Oxnard.

First my condolence to the family. I'm wondering why the oxnard police department has decided not to press charges and decline to say why. After reading some comments made by the family members of Tina it seems like they have the right person in custody. Why are they not charging this women with murder or involuntary manslater or something. I'm sure that they have enough evidence and have taken statments from all witnesses so why no charges? Some thing doesn't seem right! What made this person so enraged from the start? The news said she was stabbed serveral times in the chest, did anyone try to intervine? Where were all the people in the home during this attack? Obviously we don't know the whole story. I am really curious to hear the full story and also as to why the police are letting that woman go without charging her. If this was my family I would be outraged with the police department. It seems like Tina's family has received two serious criminal acts against them one for the sensless murder and the 2nd from the police department. I also want to say that Tina's family handle themselfs respectfully as far as I am concern, because so far I haven't read any foul, bad mouthing or hatred remarks from them. My heart goes out to her children and family!!!!!!!!!

Its truly sad no matter the who what why how or that the where happened to be Oxnard. The husband might have his regrets for being there but big ups to that biker homie that was there to comfort the victim. No matter what town, there are always a going to be a few chumps and there are always a few with enough character and courage to do whats right. May God comfort the families. ESP
