Oxnard hires Christl
Peter Christl has been selected as the girls' soccer coach at Oxnard High, announced athletic director Ted Lawrence.
Christl replaces Maggie Morrison, who was honored by the CIF as a coach of character.
He has 20 years of coaching experience.
As head coach at Nordhoff from 1996 to 2005, his teams made eight playoff appearances and won four Frontier League titles.
"We were impressed with his enthusiasm and experience," said Lawrence. "He is fully committed to having his kids represent the school and community with honor, pride and sportsmanship."
