How to Play: Rustic Canyon Golf Course Hole 10
STORY TOOLS
More from Local Golf Holes
Yardage/Par: 572/5
Description: The longest par 5 at Rustic Canyon, it features a dogleg right. It has a wide fairway. There is a large tree at the beginning of the left side of the fairway which could come into play from the back tee boxes. There is a large and long bunker on the right side of the fairway which will gather in a lot of errant second shots. It has a 48-yard long, steeply sloped green that can be difficult to putt.
How to play it: The best play off the tee is to aim up the left side. Drives hit with a right to left turn gain more roll and a better view of the green from the left side of the fairway. Tee shots down the right side shorten the hole considerably, but the view of the green for the aggressive player is obscured. To score well here the second shot needs to be placed down the right side as close to, or even over the three bunkers. The green sets up much better visually from the right side.

Are you sure you are on the right hole? There is no mention of the huge waste area/bunker that runs completely across the fairway. This makes it a cat and mouse game from the tees as to whether or not to hit driver, depending on conditions.
Im not the longest hitter but from the blues the bunker area is definitely in play for me. And if you go in there your next shot is just to get out.

A Little Help From Google Earth. I do love this How To Play section, but this is kind of a big oops. :)
