Honors detail plans a memorial service

More from County NewsA memorial service will held May 25 to honor people who have served in the military but did not receive military honors at their funerals.
The 1st Memorial Honors Detail will host the service at 2 p.m. at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, and is seeking families who had loved ones in such a situation.
Families are asked to provide copies of newspaper obituaries or programs or memorial cards from funerals. People who want loved ones honored are asked to call Terri Taylor Gonzalez at 642-1055 and give her the names, ranks and branches of service.
The 1st Memorial Honors Detail has been providing military honors at funerals and memorial services throughout Ventura County and Santa Barbara for four years.
