OXNARD COMPETES AT REDONDO TOURNAMENT

Highlights: Oxnard — The Yellowjackets lost three best-of-three matches at the Redondo Tournament. The Yellowjackets lost to San Diego Mt. Carmel 25-18, 25-19; lost to Long Beach Wilson 25-15, 25-13; and lost to Bishop Montgomery 21-25, 25-19, 15-12. Chris Bossoletti had 53 assists. Jonathan Reed had 17 kills and Rafael Magana had 14 kills and 16 digs.

Highlights: Agoura — Peter Kurzeka won the 50 free (22.99) and the 100 breast stroke (1:04.42). Jon Hall won the 100 butterfly (57.27) and 100 backstroke (1:01.52). Westlake — Brent McCunney won the 200 free (1:51.57) and the 500 free (5:04.54).

Highlights: Royal — Three swimmers won two individual events for Royal. Lawrence Bardelli won the 50 free (23.28) and 100 free (51.51). Scott Snyder won the 200 free (1:55.70) and 100 backstroke (1:02.91). Sevag Mehterian won the 200 individual medley (2:11.53) and 100 breast stroke (1:06.93).

Highlights: Rio Mesa — Kevin Dorra won the 200 freestyle (2:00.43) and Kirk Lloyd won the 500 freestyle (5:44.87). Hueneme — Michael Collins won the 200 IM (2:18.42), 100 backstroke (1:03.56). Nicolas Sanchez took first in the 50 freestyle (2.59) and 100 freestyle (50.65). Roberto Gonzalez won the 100 breast stroke (1:06.25) and Taryn McCullough took first in the 100 butterfly (58.21). Collins, Gonzalez, McCullough and Sanchez teamed to win the 200 medley (1:48.34) and 200 freestyle (1:35.40) relays.

Highlights: Camarillo — Colin Hedrick won the 500 free with a CIF automatic time of 5:02.44 and also won the 100 breast stroke (1:06.69). Evan Hedrick won the 200 free (1:51.35) and the 100 butterfly (55.20). Oxnard — Kyle Eckhart won the 50 free in a CIF consideration time of 22.39 and also won the 100 free (49.18).

Highlights: Pacifica — Cameron Neely won the 100 butterfly (58.80) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.68). Both were CIF consideration times. Greg Gutierrez won the 50 freestyle (26.2) and the 100 freestyle (56.1). Francisco Ramos won the won the 200 freestyle (2:05.01) and 500 freestyle (5:45.5).

Pacifica also earned CIF consideration times in the 200 medley relay (2:03.09) and the 200 free relay (1:50.21). Samantha Garcia won the 100 freestyle (1:02.70) and the 200 freestyle (2:15.26).
