Meadowlark Service League "Nets" $30,000 for Local Charities
On one of our best Southern California days, Monday, April 7, the Meadowlark Service League (MSL) and participants had lots of fun playing tennis throughout Camarillo, raising funds for Ventura County charities.
Each year in the Spring, MSL hosts the Womens Double Tennis Tournament and Luncheon to raise funds for nonprofits in Camarillo and surrounding communities. This sold-out event provides a day of tennis, boutiques, opportunity drawings and live auctions for our lady participants and guests.
MSL is a non-profit organization of women dedicated to raising funds for a variety of local charitable organizations and programs that provide services to help meet the needs of Camarillo and the greater Ventura County.
Last year more than $241,000 was awarded to 30 charities and organizations, scholarships of $1,000 each to 18 local graduating high school seniors and continuing college students. MSL has now raised and distributed over $1,840,000 to worthy organizations since its inception in 1971.
Please visit www.meadowlarkserviceleague.com for more information on MSL events, including The Taste of Camarillo at the historic Camarillo Ranch House, Camarillo, on July 26 and 27.
