New Senior and Family Resource Group Formed

(Westlake Village, CA) The Senior and Family Resource Group of the Conejo (SFRGC) has been formed recently to assist families planning for and coping with seniors in transition. The volunteer, non-profit Group will also conduct seminars and panel discussions throughout the area to guide families and seniors regarding health care options, financial matters, and legal considerations.

While there are a wide variety of information sources in the Conejo area dealing with seniors and their families, there is no central clearinghouse, according to Terri Hilliard Olson, Esq., SFRGC president. She notes, With a rapidly aging population and the many critical issues related to growing older, seniors and their families are simply lost and dont know where to turn. They have no single point of contact to get answers to their questions or to be guided to the proper resource. We want to help bridge the information gap.

Illness, death of a spouse, effects on the family, financial obligations or even just communicating can weigh heavily on all parties involved. Seniors in transition is also about emotional change that can impact the entire family.

The Senior and Family Resource Group of the Conejo is a network of professionals in fields that include in-home and assisted living, senior behavioral concerns, estate and financial planning, and real estate. For more information and to arrange speakers and seminars, contact 805-492-8300.
