Although I appreciate the story about the publication of my latest book, I am afraid it included an unfortunate error. I will be presenting an illustrated talk and signing copies of the book from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Hansen Agricultural Center, not today (Friday) as the article stated.
I welcome anyone with an interest in Ventura County agriculture to attend the event, and I look forward to the opportunity to answer questions about this important component of the local economy, landscape and culture. But please: Plan to visit from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. If you show up today, you will simply confuse the kind folks at the Hansen center, also known as Faulkner Farm.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event, which will be in the big red barn at 14292 W. Telegraph Road in Santa Paula.
Please plan to park in the lot around the corner, off Briggs Road.
