@TO-Cal Stand Out hed:Blues power Write 4 Hope Blues Festival in Simi Valley Ojai musician Robben Ford, pictured, will dig deep into his Grammy-nominated "Truth" CD when he plays at the Write 4 Hope Blues Festival in Simi Valley on Saturday. In addition to Ford, the festival will feature performances by Jimmy Z and the ZTribe, BB Chung King & the Buddaheads, Michael John & the Bottom Line, the Laurie Morvan Band and Barry "Big B" Brenner. Simi Valley actor-musician Mickey Jones will emcee the event, and 97.1 Free FM Radio personalities Frosty, Heidi and Frank will make appearances, too. The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Oak Park, 901 Quimisa Drive, Simi Valley. Advance tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-12. On the day of the show, tickets will be $5 more for adults. Proceeds will benefit the Simi Valley Free Clinic and the Simi Valley Samaritan Center. Call 289-4855 or visit http://www.write4hope.org.
