Coachella

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will run Friday through Sunday at the Empire Polo Field, 81-800 Avenue 51 in Indio. Parking lots and the box office open at 9 a.m. all three days. Gates open at 11 a.m. all three days; the shows will run until about midnight.

Artist highlights: Friday: Jack Johnson, the Verve, the Raconteurs, the Breeders, Aphex Twin and Fatboy Slim will perform. Saturday: Prince, Portishead, Kraftwerk, Death Cab for Cutie, Cafe Tacuba, Dwight Yoakam, Animal Collective and Flogging Molly are due. Sunday: Roger Waters, Love and Rockets, My Morning Jacket, Spiritualized, Justice and Brett Dennen will play.

Tickets: Three-day general admission passes are $269; one-day passes are $90. As of press time, the single-day passes were sold out, but three-day passes remained.

Stagecoach

The Stagecoach Festival will run May 2-4 at the Empire Polo Field, 81-800 Avenue 51 in Indio. Parking lots open at 9 a.m. all three days; the box office will open at 10 a.m. May 1 and 9 a.m. May 2-4. The gates will open at 3 p.m. May 2 and noon May 3-4.

Artist highlights: May 2: The Eagles, John Fogerty, Trisha Yearwood, Shelby Lynne, Glen Campbell and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will be featured. May 3: Rascal Flatts, the Judds, Dierks Bentley, Dwight Yoakam, Taylor Swift and Earl Scruggs will perform. May 4: Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Trace Adkins, George Jones, Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys are scheduled.

Tickets: Three-day general admission passes are $249; single-day general admission is $95. Three-day reserved seating is $585; gold-circle reserved seating is sold out.
