Hypocrisy: 1. An expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction. 2. Insincerity

That word "Hypocrite is how I see Pope Benedict XVI. His prime directive to the "flock" the supposedly 1 billion Catholics that abound worldwide is "obedience to the authority of the church because that is the foundation of their religious faith. I would imagine that is what was or is expounded by people like Jeffs of the Polygamist group, and Jim Jones just before he fed his religious faith followers the poisoned koolaide. Both of these religions, like the Catholic religion were also heavily into the sexual abuse of children, and the mental abuse of the adult followers.

Benedict voiced deep shame over the child sexual abuse that has "damaged the churchs standing" in many American dioceses. He openly neglected to mention the "extreme damage" to the children that were abused by his brethren. This only goes to point out the priorities he and his close associates have, the "Church" above all else. He also declined to offer punishment to the hordes of child abusers that seem to abound in his religious hierarchy. He went so far as to call the Catholic church the "one church" established on the earth by god. Obviously forsaking all other religions to the ranking of heathen cults. He reiterated his and the Catholic religions opposition to a wide array of modern trends including feminism, gay rights, and for greater democracy and transparency within the church. The Catholic church for years has worked in complete secrecy. No one has an inkling exactly how much the Vatican or the Church is worth, or how many world leaders they have on the payroll.

What Benedict has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt is the total hypocrisy of the Catholic religion, on one hand they profess to love all humanity and work towards world peace while on the other hand they reject completely the thoughts and actions of any person that does not subscribe to their exact religion. Out of all the "Catholics" worldwide the majority of them are either low middle class or below the poverty level. While the "Pope" and his henchmen live in opulent splendor wanting for nothing. The truth be told the Catholic religion has caused more wars, deaths, and destruction worldwide than all other pestilent in the history of man.

It is a shame that so many people are in such dire need of someone to tell them how to live that they would blindly follow the teachings of such a twisted, immoral, un-natural religion such as this. One that would turn a blind eye to the sexual abuse of their own children, and the endless mental abuse of their own followers.
