MDRT appoints Ethell to top of table'

David Ethell, president and chief executive officer of David Ethell Insurance and Financial Services in Camarillo, has been appointed to Top of the Table, Million Dollar Round Table.

A qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table for the past seven years and Court of the Table for the prior three years, Ethell has achieved the appointment to Top of the Table for the second consecutive year.

Anderson joins architectural firm

Ventura resident Shawn Anderson has joined Lauterbach & Associates, Architects.

He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque.

A licensed architect, Anderson is also Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-certified and has a particular interest in sustainable planning and design.

Bakery selected a top Great Harvest store

Great Harvest's Thousand Oaks bakery was selected as one of the nation's Top 10 Stores at the company's annual convention in St. Petersburg, Fla. The local bakery was selected from 220 Great Harvest stores in 42 states to receive the award, which is based on annual store sales growth for 2007.

Great Harvest Bread Co., at 2092-H Newbury Road, is owned and operated by Jim Costello.

Originally founded in 1976 in Great Falls, Mont., Great Harvest Franchising Inc. is known for its handcrafted breads made with freshly ground, whole wheat from the high plains of Montana.

Former partner rejoins law firm

Former partner Barry Reagan of Ventura has rejoined the firm of Procter, McCarthy & Slaughter LLP.

Additionally, Becky McCarthy of Camarillo, a co-founder of the firm and longtime partner, has announced her intention to practice part time.

The firm name became Procter, Slaughter & Reagan LLP on April 1, when McCarthy moved to "of counsel" status with the firm.

Reagan specializes in providing general counsel and litigation services to a variety of clients, emphasizing the representation of homeowners' associations. He has an active insurance defense practice and will be one of the firm's lead trial lawyers.

McCarthy, an active trial lawyer for more than 20 years, specializes in civil litigation, emphasizing in government tort liability, insurance litigation, premises liability, products liability and general trial practice.
