The school district has set up an account at Washington Mutual Bank in his memory. Proceeds will be used to help his family with burial costs, district officials said.

Anyone interested in donating can make a cash or check contribution at any area Washington Mutual branch. Checks should be made payable to Albertina Segura. Donations also will be accepted at the Rio School District, 2500 E. Vineyard Ave., Oxnard, attention Sonia Cervantez, or at any of the district's schools.

Cash donations cannot be accepted at the district office or schools. For information, call the district at 485-3111.
