Man injured by two robbers near store

A Ventura man was robbed over the weekend by two men who asked for his help with a car problem, police said.
The robbery victim was leaving a store in the 300 block of East Main Street in Ventura about 2 a.m. Sunday when two men asked for his help with their vehicle, according to a prepared statement from the Ventura Police Department.
When the 39-year-old agreed and followed the men to a parking lot behind the store, they hit him and took keys and a wallet from his pants pocket, police said. He had minor injuries, police said. Police did not find the robbers.
Anyone with information about the robbery can call Ventura police at 339-4394.
To give an anonymous tip, call Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK. Tipsters who give information that leads to an arrest could receive up to $1,000 cash.
