911 Charge...
Just to remind ya' all if you don't want the city to be charging you an extra $1.75 per month on all of your phone bills, that is for every phone line you have, you need to contact the city hall via their web site at www.ci.ventura.ca.us click on the link for the 911 service and follow the directions.
I inquired at the Ivory Tower about how many people had opted out, this was the reply.
Mr. Smith,Thank you for contacting the City regarding to-date enrollment numbers for the 911 fee's per-call option.To date, we've had approximately 13,000 telephone lines enrolled in the per-call option, which translates to about eight percent of the estimated 158,000 lines in the City of Ventura.Regards,Anne HallockCity of Ventura
