Students may apply for scholarships

Students at Apollo, Royal, Santa Susana and Simi Valley high schools and Moorpark College are invited to apply for scholarships that will be given out by from the Simi Valley Education Foundation.
Each year the foundation selects one student from each school and awards a $1,000 college scholarship.
Scholarship applications are currently available at each of the local high schools' counseling and career centers and at the Moorpark Community College counseling center, as well as online at http://www.svef.org.
Completed scholarship applications must be returned by May 2 to the career-center technician at the student's high school.
Applicants must be planning to graduate this year and planning to attend a vocational education institution or a two- or four-year college. They must complete the application, include a personal essay and attach a copy of their official high school transcript.
