Business exchange participants sought
The Rotary Clubs of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties are seeking area professionals to visit Thailand next year to experience life, customs and businesses in the country and share their knowledge.
Those chosen for the Group Study Exchange program of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International will visit Thailand from March 9 to April 2.
The purpose of the program is to promote international understanding and goodwill through personal connection. While abroad, team members stay in Rotarians' homes and meet their professional counterparts. They also give presentations to Rotary clubs and other groups about their home country.
The Rotary Foundation pays for airfare, and Rotary club members in the host country provide meals, lodging, and group travel in their districts. Team members pay for personal and incidental expenses.
People from 25 to 40 who are interested in applying should be employed full-time in businesses or professions. Applicants must live or be employed in Ventura or Santa Barbara counties.
Applications are available online at http://www.rotary.org/RIdocuments/en_pdf/161en.pdf.
