3 held in Camarillo burglary
Three Los Angeles men were arrested Friday after they allegedly burglarized a Camarillo home and tried to escape from pursuing deputies, authorities said Saturday.
Camarillo Police Department officials said they received reports of a residential burglary and a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Via Montecito about 1:45 p.m. Friday.
Authorities said four men ran from the vehicle when deputies arrived, but after a search, three were apprehended.
Robert Thomas, 20, Marquez Ezell, 21, and Trenton Lovell, 18, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, and resisting or delaying a peace officer, according to a statement from the police. Lovell faces an additional charge of willful and malicious harm to a sheriff's K-9 unit dog. He allegedly punched the dog during his apprehension and was later treated at St. John's Pleasant Valley Medical Center for minor injuries inflicted by the dog.
The victim of the burglary identified several items in the abandoned vehicle that had been stolen from her home, authorities said.
The three men were each held Saturday at the Ventura County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, and are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
The fourth suspect was still at large as of Saturday, and the investigation is continuing.

Outstanding Job CPD!!! It makes you wonder though, these guys were from LA? What happened? Are they running out of places to rob there? Is that why they were in Camarillo working?
Hopefully they won't get just a slap on the hand. Please, don't let us down again and let these guys out on a plea. Throw the book at them and make them pay for what they did.
These guys are a danger to society. Make them serv a sentance in Iraq on the front lines. Maybe they need to know what it is like to be scared...

I read about this Friday afternoon - glad to hear that they got 3 of the 4 losers and I hope that K9 got a big chunk of that turd!
Unfortunately, the LA crime is rapidly making it's way to Ventura County. We need to step up as citizens and take back our county! If you see someone or something suspicious PLEASE don't be afraid to call the cops. And if you are going to complain about the 911 fee in Ventura - don't call 911, call the regular number. Just call before something serious happens.

Lets hope #4 doesn't try to come back. But I think he will think twice thanks to our CamPD. Thanks for making our city such a safe place to live.
