Oxnard man, 32, killed in Saturday car crash

The Ventura County Medical Examiner has released the name of the Oxnard man killed in a Saturday morning vehicle crash that happened in the Oxnard Plains area.

He is Miguel Montalvo Felipe, 32.

The California Highway Patrol has not released the identity of another man who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after the crash.

Also, the CHP has not arrested a third man who fled the scene with unknown injuries.

Alfredo Cantia-Galvez, 26, of Oxnard, was at the wheel of a minivan that was traveling east on Etting Road when it drifted across the westbound lane and hit a mailbox on the shoulder, authorities said.

The driver then over corrected, and the minivan rolled onto its roof.

The driver and passenger were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with major injuries, CHP Officer Hector Meza said.
