Morning Report: Rain likely this afternoon

More from Other NewsWeather: There is a 70 percent chance of rain and a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon after partly cloudy conditions this morning, the National Weather Service reported.
A late season storm is expected to drop .25 to .75 inch of rain on the county coast and .75 to 2 inches on valleys and foothills, according to the weather service.
Forecasts show high temperatures in the 60s today.

Police and Fire: Last night and this morning were quiet and routine, law enforcement and fire officials said.

Traffic: At 7:01 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was reporting a collision blocking lanes of Hueneme Road at Rice Avenue outside Oxnard.
A non-injury crash was reported at 6:13 a.m. on Highway 101 southbound at Las Posas Road in Camarillo.
