Once again, Royal Family Kids' Camps will be hosting an amazing fundraiser! Although they've sold tamales by the hundreds in years past, this year's event is called "Death by Chocolate."

On April 24, at 6:30 PM at Ventura Missionary Church's Willett Center, there will be an abundance of chocolate in its various forms. but that's not all! This FREE event will also feature fabulous music from local contemporary Christian artist Lisa Houston and a message from Randy Martin, an inspiring speaker and expert on foster kids--all with the goal of supporting NEW LIFE for abused, abandoned and neglected children. (And yes, an offering WILL be taken!)

Kids who are in foster care are not often able to go to camp. These kids will be the recipients of the funds donated through Royal Family Kids' Camp. In its seventh year here in Ventura County, RFKC is focused on providing a one-week camping experience for foster kids aged 7-11. Foster kids get to enjoy It does cost a lot of money to run this camp; however, it is well worth the time, money and effort when we see the results in the lives of kids who suddenly discover for the first time, "Hey! I matter here! These people really care about me!"

So don't forget to mark your calendar for April 24. Remember, the event runs from 6:30-8:30 PM at Ventura Missionary Church's Willett Center, 500 High POint drive in Ventura. Chocolate desserts, Lisa Houston's singing and Randy Martin's inspiring speaking will fire you up for sweeter things than even chocolate. (Hard to believe, but true!)
