Son arrested after mother killed in Calabasas
A 20-year-old man was arrested early today on suspicion of stabbing his mother to death at her Calabasas home, authorities said.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responding about 12:30 a.m. to a report of a stabbing at a home in the 3800 block of Declaration Avenue in Calabasas found Hadas Winnick, 55, with a stab wound in her upper torso, Deputy Aura Sierra said. Winnick was pronounced dead at the scene.
Winnick's daughter later told investigators that her brother, Jesse Winnick, had called her to say he had just killed their mother, said Sierra.
Deputies arrested Jesse Winnick, 20, on suspicion of homicide when they saw him entering a vehicle near the crime scene, Sierra said. Further details were not immediately available.

Don't think at this point she cares much about losing the brother.

I know of this poor family, and the son is a loser! His mom was an incredible lady, a high school teacher. She was guilty of being too good of a mom, I think. She gave her son one too many chances. It is such a sad story. Prayers to Amy and the rest of the family.
