Navy limits access to Point Mugu
The U.S. Navy is limiting access to Naval Base Ventura County because of naval exercises.
Only the Victoria Gate at Port Hueneme and the Las Posas Gate at Point Mugu are open.
Officials at the base say there may be heavier traffic around Port Hueneme and Point Mugu because of the exercises.
The annual exercises are designed to increase training and preparedness of Navy security personnel. Officials point out the exercises are not in response to any specific threat.
