S.P. high school briefly locked down

More from Other NewsSanta Paula High School and the adjacent Renaissance High School were briefly locked down today while police pursued someone in the area around the campuses.
High school administrators initiated the lockdown about 11:30 a.m., after police said they were chasing a possibly armed suspect in the neighborhood, said David Gomez, superintendent of the Santa Paula Union High School District.
During the lockdown, students were kept inside classrooms with the doors locked, Gomez said.
The lockdown was called off about 12:30 p.m., and school went on as normal, said the superintendent.
Santa Paula High School is located on the 400 block of 6th Street. Renaissance High School is located on the 300 block of N. Palm Avenue.

* Santa Paula High School DISTRICT OFFICE is located on Santa Barbara Street.
* Santa Paula High School is located on 6th Street in Santa Paula. I think the 400 block, but I am not sure.
* The SP faculty was not informed as to why they were on lock down, nor did the office have any idea. When I called to get information [my sister is a teacher there] and I called the office and they said they did not know why they were on lockdown. I had to call SPPD to get the reason for the lockdown; they said they were looking for a hit and run suspect but the lockdown had since been released.

Maybe the Star should do their homework BEFORE they print a story. Like the correct address of the school
