Nine arrested over Aug. 29 attack on boy

Fillmore police said Wednesday that they have arrested nine suspected gang members following an attack on a 15-year-old boy last month.

The boy was repeatedly punched and hit on the forehead with a rock about 3 p.m. Aug. 29 near Fillmore High School as he walked home, police said. One suspect, a juvenile, was arrested about a week later on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Five other juveniles were later arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy and participating in a criminal street gang.

Three others not directly involved in the attack were the latest to be arrested. One, a juvenile, was arrested in connection with a parole violation.

Emmanual Negrete, 24, was arrested Sept. 12 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, violating parole, resisting an officer, being under the influence of a narcotic and criminal trespass, police said. Martin Lopez, 25, was arrested Friday on suspicion of a parole violation and possessing a dangerous weapon, police said.

I wonder when the church is going to step forward, and give these criminals a place to live???

I'm a non-violent "older" female --- but I would like to throw some bricks at these losers. Where are their parents???? OR - are their parents former gamg members??? It usually runs in the family. Hopefully, someone in jail will take them out!

If these big bad guys need 9 to beat down one they sound like a bunch of cowards too me.
Big macho's only in big groups never one on one.

Gang members are cowards in that they rarely fight 1:1...strength in numbers I guess. Or they're just cowards.

Posted by Terly on September 20, 2007 at 1:27 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Clementine, their parents are all in sanctuary at the church in Simi.

Gang members are cowardly. They attack in numbers and prey on the young, weak and elderly.

What a bunch of chicken sh**'s!

9 stupid "adults" beating up a kid walking home...boy that's a tough gang!

Posted by TheSportsLogoPundit on September 20, 2007 at 3:01 p.m. (Suggest removal)

No surprise that FedUp and Terly would try to make some kind of "funny" connection with the Simi Valley church. Very clever, you two! Because a mother appealing to stay with her infant, husband and the rest of her family instead of being shipped to a country where she has absolutely nothing is exactly the same as gang members assaulting a 15 year-old.

TheSportsLogoPundit - no surprise that you can not take one second out of your life to laugh at a stupid joke. in todays world, if you cant take some time out of your life to laugh, I pity you.

Posted by TheSportsLogoPundit on September 20, 2007 at 3:43 p.m. (Suggest removal)

FedUp - I love to laugh, don't get me wrong. But I don't think you meant it as just a "stupid joke", and Terly's "joke" is completely out-of-line. I didn't see you two make those same jokes on the story about Robert Troy Nipar and Jason Rimmer, the guys that stole $300,000 from Amgen. Why is that?

Posted by FedUp on September 20, 2007 at 3:48 p.m. (Suggest removal)

probably because I have not read that story. people stealing money from a large company does not get my blood boiling nearly as much as the immigration debate. my joke might have been in bad taste, but it was still a joke.
now, as far as these gangster losers go. lock em all up for life, or just take em out back behind the barn....
and I do mean that. no joke.

fed up , you have way to much time on your hands do you really dedicate all your life to posting comments. sad for you, now if you really dont like gangmembers then why dont you go and find one and tell him how you feel? i bet you wont but when your behind a computer your a tough guy right?

Posted by UkNoWmYNaMe on September 20, 2007 at 4:33 p.m. (Suggest removal)

and for terly your'e just ignorant , i can tell by your absurd comments

Posted by BeaHappi on September 20, 2007 at 4:53 p.m. (Suggest removal)

I love the people who tell other posters that they have too much time on their hands because they post. You'd only know that people post frequently if you read all of the posts so come on, maybe we all have too much time on our hands!

You go FedUp!

Posted by FedUp on September 20, 2007 at 5:17 p.m. (Suggest removal)

um actually, I do have a bit too much time on my hands today. conference calls all day. booooring.
and you have been in all the same places I have today, so what does that say for you?? yeah, thats what I thought.
I have told many a gangbanger to get the hell out of my neighborhood before. I dont have a problem with that. the problem with them is, they never want to do anything mano y mano. it always about intimidation by numbers. plus, they are always packing heat. I would have zero issues with a one v one fight, but that does not exist anymore.
and thanks for calling me a tough guy! I dont hear that one nearly enough. my ego is growing....
thanks BeaHappi. my internet compadre. :)

FedUp, I liked your joke !
UkNoWmYNaMe ,What fed up does with his or her.I believe her time is none of your business. And why confront a gangmember when your gonna get jumped by twenty cause they cant fight one on one !!! Also FYI I have confronted them !!!!
They wont fight one on one cause they are afraid of getting beat down....... so they have to go get all thier buddies to back them up ! Punks!!!

Posted by RoofMan2 on September 20, 2007 at 9:07 p.m. (Suggest removal)

the violent 9 are not as chicken as their parents. come on out mama. lets go papa. step out and tell us what nice boys you got.

Posted by UkNoWmYNaMe on September 21, 2007 at 1:15 a.m. (Suggest removal)

how funny mano y mano buddy , i doubt you can put up a fight and for the part where you told a gangmember something, sounds like one of your dreams, i don't admire them but i know they have nothing to lose.and one on one fights do exist the problem is you've been watching too many movies, as for anawhaat i wont even tell you nothing cause i know you have nothing better to do than to stick your nose in others bussines like you're doing now plus you'll sit here all day commenting towards me bacause thats what you live for it would be a never ending battle with you, and yes i do read the county star often but every time i read the comments you're always there to no suprise , it's like you go to sleep anxiously waiting for the next day so you can dedicate another day to your brilliant comments you post right? since you think you know everything and are so smart, but dont let me ruin your day and mess up your little fantacy lifes you two have going on -your dear friend

UkNoWmYNaMe - I liked your comment!!! Thanks

Posted by AnnaWhaat on September 21, 2007 at 7:15 a.m. (Suggest removal)

UkNoWmYNaMe ,Well if you notice my comments then your on the net as much as I am...... admit it. I have no dreams, other then to see these punks in prison! Believe what you want.....
Stick my nose in other peoples business. Well yeah when nine people beat up a 15 year old it should be everyones business!!!!!!
Mess up my day? Please , it isn't going to happen. I'm very content!
You can either believe what I say or go on to another comment and skip mine! Please do! It wouldn't bother me a bit. But it sure sounds like your sticking up for these punks who can't fight one on one.......... Are you one of them?

Posted by ironwoman on September 21, 2007 at 1:26 p.m. (Suggest removal)

What does it matter if people read the comment sections and write their opinions? The comments are there for a reason. If people are so offended by the comments, don't read them.
Nobody is sticking their nose in anybody else's business. The newspaper writes the articles, people read them, and then we write comments about it... sounds to me that somebody is living their own "fantacy"- correctly spelled "fantasy" and has their own agenda.
Have a splendid day.

DANG HOW BAD IS THIS, WHAT PUNKS 7 KIDS TO BEAT UP ONE AND 2 ADULTS, THEY SHOULD PUT THOSE TO IN PRISON LET IT BE KNOWN WHAT THEY DID, AND OOPS SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT. . . OH MAYBE DO IT WITH A RIVAL GANG, I COULD OF CARE IF THE KID KILLED A FAMILY MEMBER OF THEIRS. A 24 AND 25 YEAR OLD. . . NOW THATS PATHETIC NO PAROLE WITH LIFE YOU CAN SAY

Posted by GitRdone on September 26, 2007 at 11:37 a.m. (Suggest removal)

ALL GANG MEMBERS SUCK !! AND FOR MYSELF, I HAVE DEFINATELY TOLD THEM IN MANY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. IF I AM TO SEE SOMETHING GOING ON IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD, I HAVE TOLD THEM HOW I FEEL & I HAVE TOLD THEM I'M ON THE PHONE CALLING THE POLICE. THEY PISS ME OFF & THEY FEEL THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING BECAUSE NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING. I DO UNDERSTAND PEOPLE ARE AFRAID SOMETIMES & YOU DO HAVE TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN BUT IT STILL DOESN'T STOP ME. THEY'RE ALL LOSERS & DESERVE EACHOTHER, SO PUT THEM ON THE SAME ISLAND !!!!!!!!

Posted by AnnaWhaat on September 27, 2007 at 8:55 a.m. (Suggest removal)

ok Well the two adults mentioned in the article by name were not part of the beating of the kid. They were just arrested that day too for parole violations. Although I still stand behind my comment.

its funny how one person can get beat up and 9 people can be arrested but we have murders and not 1 arrest can be made.! Looks like the System is screwed up!

Posted by GlovesT13 on October 22, 2007 at 4:14 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Ok people not all gang memebers are cowards.... all the gang members from that side are cowards, they cant fight one on one....its ALWAYS a huge group of them against one.... If it is only one of them they wont do anything... i know this because its happend to me a group of 11 against one!! STUPID!!!!!

Posted by sincerelyCRITICIZED on October 24, 2007 at 12:06 p.m. (Suggest removal)

The problem steams from these kids that try to act like men and the men that still think they are kids. The source of their problem is they don't know what it takes to be a "real man". And that problem stems from them never having a real man in there lives and the other half is because there parents are oblivious to how there kids behave out on the street trying to impress the older "punks-idiots". Who control these mindless kids. And some of the parents to these kids are gang member themselves and encourage this behavior. At least the one father I had got the undesired privilege of encountering was even so idiotic and rude that his son the defendant was even embarrassed of him.

My son was victimized in this same town and mostly likely by the same "punks-idiots". They think they are the smartest little A-holes running the street but if any of these "punks-idiots" are reading this, the only one who gets the last laugh is your victim. Because the impact hit's your family emotionally, financially, and above all the embarrassment and disappointing that they get from what they raised. How sad that they have to take responsibility for what they raised and still support such coward. Let alone the shame they get for raising an idiot of a child, they still have to go present their faces in court as they are the responsible party for their child/defendant. At least above I tried to described a real parent. As far as the parents I so lucky and fortunate to encounter in court were quite the opposite. They were very upset that they had to be there because in there eye's/opinion my son was in the wrong because he didn't or wouldn't fold to their intimidation and he continued to be his cute charming self. WOW! APPARENTLY VERY DISRESPECTFUL! again. WOW! So, apparently these parents thought it was all fair to teach him a lesson because he didn't know his place.
MY OPINION IS:
"Amazing that these parents still call themselves parents"! "Shameless A-holes, just like what they raised"! It's just a matter of time before they fall victims to there offspring. That's if they aren't already!

As for the victim, things will be better. Just not in that school district. Because it sucks!! Especially the V/P at that high school. He's just as much of a coward as the defendants.
