Man arrested in two sexual assaults
A Somis man is being held in Ventura County Jail on bail of $250,000 after being arrested in connection with two sexual assaults.
Ventura County Sheriff's investigators said Fabrio Lukita, 27, offered to take photographs of a 17-year-old girl after meeting her Friday at Moorpark College.
Investigators allege Lukita drove the young woman to an off-campus location where she was sexually assaulted.
Investigators said another female was sexually assaulted Monday at California State University, Channel Islands. CSUCI police identified Lukita as the suspect in that assault.
Lukita was arrested Tuesday night following an investigation by officers from CSUCI, Moorpark College and the Sheriff Department's East County Sexual Assault Unit.
Investigators suspect there may be other sexual assault victims who have yet to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tony Aguirre at 805-371-8309.

FedUp - no kidding!
However, I do believe that crimes of this nature are usually about the power and not about the sex.
Yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck, yuck!!!
Thank goodness they caught him. I hope that both the victims have a full recovery.

Remember this man is innocent until proven guilty. He has not had a chance to defend himself, yet here we are already making fun of this man.
Bail is allowed because the presumption is that he is innocent.

jdcard80 - We aren't stupid. We know why bail is allowed. We just wish it wasn't in this case.

I did not mean to infer that you were stupid, but rather I just want to subdue the rush to judgment so common in our society.
Obviously not all those who are convicted are guilty. All we know is what the newspaper has told us, and generally that does not include all of the facts.
Unfortunately true justice takes time.

Let's take this opportunity to remind EVERYONE, especially young ladies (because they are the ones being targeted) NOT to get in a car with a stranger; not to let a stranger in their car; and to be extremely leery of strangers 'wanting to take their photographs' especially on a campus setting. Also, if students are the least bit unsettled after being approached, they should report it immediately to campus police. Remember, Ted Bundy used to ask girls on campus to help him find a certain location, then he'd do unspeakable things to them. He looked much more clean-cut and presentable than this person. It's a sad commentary on our times, but better to hurt a stranger's feelings and walk away than to be a Good Samaritan and wind up dead.

This man is a human being. I know that i will get bashed for what i am about to say however i don't really care. You see this man is a friend of mine. And after i found out about this i was shocked, and well i was unsure of who i knew him to be. But after taking a step back i realized that this man is just like any of us. In our human eyes we like to rate crimes as to their severity. (i would like to say that in no way am i trying to say what this man did is okay, in fact it is terribly wrong.)
I would like to quote John 8
1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
11"No one, sir," she said.
"Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
I would like to say that i am not saying this friend of mine is not deserving of jail time. I am just trying to point out that we all fall short of the glory of God. We can trow Febrio in jail. However lets leave the name calling and bashing to a minimum because we are all flawed in different ways. I am a FLAWED human. I know that some people be not have the same beliefs as me and well that is fine. We can agree to disagree.
As a friend of Febrio i could not sit back, read these posts, and not say anything. Febrio is a friend, a human, and a sinner and so am I.
