COLLEGE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Cal Lutheran places fourth
At Westmont Invitational, Saturday, 8K
Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Brett Siddle finished 16th in 28:18 to help CLU place fourth in the 27-team field. Ray Ostander (28:42), Brian Kahovec (28:46) and Scott Peterson (28:56) all finished consecutively for CLU in 22nd, 23rd and 24th place, respectively.
COLLEGE WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Clahassey finishes 19th
At Westmont Invitational, Saturday, 5K
Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Freshman Lynn Clahassey was 19th in 20:59. She was joined by fellow freshmen Michelle Horgan (21:25) and Nicole Flanary (24:47) in the top 30. The Regals finished in fourth with 127 points. Biola walked away as the first-place team in the women's race with 33 points.
MEN'S WATER POLO
Cal Lutheran 6, Concordia 4;
Cal Lutheran 8, Chapman 5
At Cal Lutheran Tournament, Saturday
Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Matt Heagy and Scott Bredesen scored two goals against Concordia. Bredesen and Jeff Chaney had two goals in the win over Chapman. Heagy had 15 goals in the three-day tournament.
Record: Cal Lutheran 5-4.
WOMEN'S SOCCER

At Cal Lutheran
Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Brittany Clark had two goals. Kelsey Sullivan also scored. Kristin Borzi stopped four shots against Chapman. On Saturday, Clark, Aubrie Smith and Marisa Zambetti scored twice. Mackenzie Porter and Ashlei James had two assists against Whittier.
Record: Cal Lutheran -1, 1-0-1 SCIAC.

Highlights: Cal Lutheran — Chris Thompson made five saves against Santa Cruz. Two CLU shots hit a piece of the goal. In Saturday's game against Whittier, Scott Jones, Brandon Higa and Robbie Spangler scored. Steffen Isetorp and Josh Moskowitz had assists. Santa Cruz — Harry Abraham scored off a Matt Fondy assist less than seven minutes into overtime. The score came after a CLU shot on goal was blocked and the CLU transition defense fell behind an attacking UCSC front line.
Record: Cal Lutheran 4-2.
BOYS' CROSS COUNTRY
Thousand Oaks sixth in rated race
At Woodbridge Invitational, Saturday, 3 miles
Highlights: Thousand Oaks — Sean Gildea was third in 14 minutes, 47 seconds as Thousand Oaks took sixth in the rated division. Oaks Christian — Charlie Petrie was 19th in the rated race with a time of 15:13. Royal — The Highlanders were 12th in the sweepstakes race. Alex Routh (14:47) and Travis Edwards (14:56) were 18th and 26th. Camarillo — Evan Graville was 20th as Camarillo placed fourth in the Gold division senior race. Westlake — Scott Patterson was 11th in the Gold division senior race. Agoura — Perry Casey was 39th in the Gold division senior race.
GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY
Simi Valley's Miller wins title
At Woodbridge Invitational, Saturday, 3 miles
Highlights: Simi Valley — Liberty Miller won the Gold division individual title in 17:30. Brooke Popp was 18th as Simi Valley finished seventh. The Pioneers were runner-up in the Gold division sophomore race behind Nicole Rietveld's (19:13) third-place finish. Thousand Oaks — Kaitlyn Sullivan was 12th in the Rated division race to lead the Lancers to 15th. Allie Lopez (18:51) was 55th. Royal — Nicole McCormick was 33rd in 18:36 in the Rated division race. Oaks Christian — Rosanne Fleming finished second in 17:32. Agoura — Katie Klezek was 11th in the Gold division event. Westlake — Jasmine Hayes (18:45) was 21st in the Gold division.
Pearson second overall
At Mount Carmel Invitational, Saturday, 2.7 miles
Highlights: La Reina — Sarah Pearson won her heat and was second overall in Division II with a time of 16:27. Kim Cunningham was 82nd overall. La Reina finished 16th.
