Police unable to locate Simi Valley burglar

Simi Valley police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the city this morning.

Residents of a house on the 1800 block of Bishop Lane called police about 5 a.m. to report a burglar in their home, police said in a prepared statement.

Awakened by noises in their living room, the residents found a man in the house who ran away when they yelled at him.

No property was taken.

Police were on scene for several house but they did not locate the burglar.

Police are reminding city residents to lock their doors and windows as safety precautions.
