Boy severely injured in bike accident

A boy in Simi Valley was severely injured this morning after he was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle around the intersection of Talbert Avenue and Fitzgerald Road, police said.

Police say the boy was hit around 8 a.m. He was taken to a local hospital, police said.

There was no additional information on the boy's condition. His name was not made available.

Information on the motorist also was not available.
