Highlights: Conejo Valley United — The under-19 Pride Blue scored two goals in the first five minutes in the league opener. Kendall Dreyer scored of an assist by Ashley Cheney. Jordann Schoonover converted a free kick. Dreyer scored the third goal off a crossing pass from Dara Deaton. Goalie Rebecca Saguancia played well.

Coast Soccer League Silver North Division
Highlights: Conejo Valley United — The under-14 White Srikers defeated the North Valley Daggers 1-0 and the Los Angeles Rampage 3-1. In the first game, Kat Chen scored off a throw-in by Nicole Mogg. Kasey Magallanes played well at goalie. Against the Rampage, Taylor C' deBaca scored off an assist by Lindsey O'Tousa. Mogg scored and Jordon Engel scored off an assist by Chen.
REAL CALIFORNIA 5, SIMI VALLEY CHIVAS 2
Coast Soccer League Silver Division
Highlights: Real California — The under-13 girls won an opening-game for the third straight year. Falling behind 1-0, Real California rallied on goals by Gabby Stevens, Jessica Burns, Joely Friedman and two by Heather Paul. McKenna Masters had four assists. Kelcie Brodsky played well at goalie. Emily Higbee, Megan Huning, Annie Lee and Friedman played well on defense. Sammy Gorman and Nicole Molen played well on both sides of the ball. Real California will play at Woodland Hills on Saturday and host Palmdale on Sunday at Monte Vista School in Camarillo.
ECLIPSE WINS
Simi Valley Labor Day Invitational
Highlights: Simi Valley — The girls' under-12 team went undefeated giving up just one goal in five games and winning the championship. The Eclipse were second in last year's tournament and won the championship in 2005. Al Galvis is the manager and Ronnie Shields is the coach. The players are Rocki Bonilla, Brooke Horvatich, Jacquie Gabball, Lindsay Stasinis, Brenna Belnick, Kerry Manion, Melissa Toczynski, Kelly Weldon, Alyssa Galvis, Anna Darin, Sydney Flodquist, Alex Albacek, Devon Abhari and Morgan Bertsch.
ECLIPSE PREVAILS
Simi Valley Labor Labor Day Invitational
Highlights: Simi Valley — The under-15 boys won the championship. In pool play, the Eclipse defeated California Stars of Agoura 5-1 and the Hot Spurs from Northridge 3-0 and played Barcelona to a scoreless tie. The Eclipse went into playoffs seeded No. 1 and drew Conejo Valley United in the first round and beat them 6-0. The game was under control within the first five minutes with two goals from Sean Upson and another from Brent Cruz. The Eclipse held control of the ball for the remainder of the game allowing just three shots from CVU. Rounding out the scoring were Alex Wardel, James Miller and Johnny Magana. In the championship game, Akram Algabri knocked in a deflected goal for a 3-1 win over Barcelona. Johnny Magana had scored the game-tying goal on a header with five minutes left and Upson recorded the assist. The Eclipse added an insurance goal two minutes later with a goal by Jordan Strassner. The Eclipse Silver team members are Mike Mann, Thor English, Algabi, Upson, Cody Hyman, Wardel, Magana, Brent Cruz, Miller, Joe Membrila, Sam Walters, Chris Horne, Strassner and Honorio Hernandez.
CALIFORNIA REAL EXTENDS STREAK
Simi Valley Labor Day Tournament
Highlights: Real California — The under-9 girls from Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village won their third straight tournament championship. While winning the Santa Barbara Summer Classic and Islands Classic, the team has now won 13 straight games in outscoring the compeition 35-4. Real California defeated the Moorpark Express 4-0 for the championship. The highlight of the tournament was a semifinal victory over Real SoCal, which was decided by penalty kicks. Trysten Myers was the goalkeeper. The players are Melissa Adler, Kristen Canepa, Karisma Carmichael, Celine Chavez, Kaitlyn Halstead, Alison Madden, Kayla Manion, Roni Merrill, Erin Philen, Ally Parmele and Myers.
REAL CALIFORNIA FINISHES SECOND
Simi Valley Labor Day Invitational
Highlights: Real California — The under-14 boys advanced to the semifinals with three shutouts. Real California defeated the SAS Kickers 3-0, Revolution 5-0, and Apex 2-0. Guillermo Che opened Game 1 with his first hat trick. He added another in Game 2 with Thomas Dempsey scoring two additional goals. Edwin Elizarraraz and Che each scored a goal in Game 3. Tyler Erickson, Connor Reed, Matthew Scipione, Tanner MacDonald, Freddy Lopez, Omar Maya, Kyle Key and Joe Spota assisted goalie Alonso Salinas with outstanding defense. Real California prevailed with a 2-0 victory in the semifinal game against SSV Burbank. Che and Dempsey each had a goal. In the championship game against Chivas Simi Valley, Real California was down 1-0 in the first half. The Chivas scored quickly at the start of the second half and added another goal to earn a 3-0 victory. Luis Reyna, Marc Kirby, Oscar Fletcher, Tyler Klauza and Jared Borowitz also made strong contributions. The team is coached by Chris McGinty and assistant coach Josue Castillo Oviedo.
