When Global Warming is raised, the challenge seems so daunting that one individual typically seems powerless to affect change. Tom Faigh, a veteran agent for Troop Real Estate, Inc. in Simi Valley, is trying to change that. In fact, Faigh has “gone green” in his property marketing approach.
Validating that philosophy, Faigh will host open houses from 1 to 4 p.m. today and June 10 for a dramatic executive residence in Simi Valley that he says will enable the buyer to also do their part to combat global climate change.
To facilitate that, Faigh says that the buyer of the home will receive a fully loaded 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid automobile that generates 51 miles per gallon which is included in the purchase of the home, listed at $1,275,000. He said the public is invited to view and test-drive the hybrid car during the open house as part of the home tour.
The new car, the latest in eco-friendly hybrid automotive technology, is provided courtesy of First Honda dealership in Simi Valley. Faigh encourages the curious to stop by this luxurious home and “be green” for a day.
Located at 5790 Cherokee Circle, Simi Valley, the executive Silverthorne estate features five bedrooms and four baths on nearly a one-third acre private corner lot.
Other key amenities include a remote control Pebble-tech finish pool and spa with waterfall, water slide and fountains, an 810 square-foot covered patio, built-in vented barbecue center, slate floors, marble floor entrance, gourmet cook’s kitchen featuring Viking stainless steel appliances and custom granite counters, first-level bedroom and full bathroom and cherry wood cabinets throughout. Furthermore, there is multi-zone heating and cooling; plus a self-contained, emergency power generator in case the power should ever go off.
“Not only is this a distinctive property, but with gas prices approaching $4 per gallon this summer, potential buyers and I have an opportunity to join in helping our planet and future generations by reducing the release of carbon dioxide and harmful greenhouse gases that are pouring into our atmosphere daily from the burning of fossil fuels in gasoline powered vehicles,” Faigh said.
“What kind of earth will our children and grandchildren inherit? The answer depends partly on good people like you and me. I want to do my part to fight global climate change and keep Simi Valley’s air clean and smog-free for the benefit of all our neighbors in this wonderful community. For me it’s not about choosing partisan sides in political debates, but more importantly, actively supporting the public’s desire for a healthier living environment,” Faigh said.
He added that whoever purchases the 5790 Cherokee Circle home will save thousands of dollars at the gas pump. “Families won’t have to cancel vacations this summer because of record-high fuel prices since this beautiful new 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid, complete with a satellite linked navigation system, will minimize that impact. I cordially invite guests to visit this gorgeous Silverthorne home, and drive this energy-efficient vehicle. It’s fun to drive and looks great, too. The buyer of the home only needs to select the color of the car.”
