Health & Wellness Fair set for Sept. 12
The Council On Aging's second annual Health & Wellness Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi.
A variety of services, programs and resources are presented in one location from approximately 60 vendors. Free bone scans and hearing screenings will be offered, along with door prizes and other giveaways.
The K-Earth 101 street team will be on hand playing music and giving away limited edition K-Earth prizes from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, call 583-6363.

Event nets $128,000 for Senior Concerns
Senior Concerns' 22nd annual fundraising event, The Ultimate Dining Experience, netted a record $128,000 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza on Aug. 5, helping to continue services to the area's growing population of frail elderly and special-need seniors and their family caregivers.
All proceeds from the Ultimate Dining Experience will benefit the full range of Senior Concerns programs, including Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Center, Family Support Services, Senior Advocates information and counseling service, Ventura County's Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center and a variety of informational seminars throughout the year.
