THE PEANUT MAN IS BACK IN TOWN

The Peanut Man and all his helpers were out in force at many shopping centers on Saturday, the 27th of Oct. Did you get your bag of peanuts? For the past 14 years the Kiwanis Club of Camarillo has been passing out peanuts on a Saturday before Halloween and collecting donations to fund their extensive community service projects. If you have been to the new Library in town you might have seen the results of last year's drive. It's on the floor of the Children's Reading Center -- the big rug with the Big "K" in the center. The kids love to sit around on it and listen to a grown-up (often a Kiwanian) read to them.

This year's funds will expand the program with more interesting and exciting equipment to go with the puppet theater, sunken pirate ship and wonderful books.
The Kiwanis Club of Camarillo, along with its sponsored youth groups such as the Key Clubs, KIWINS, and Builder's Clubs are working hard to improve our community, one child at a time. If you want to participate, why not check us out? We meet weekly at Noon on Tuesdays at the Round Table Pizza Restaurant next to K-Mart.
