St. John's Flu and Pneumonia Shot Clinics 2007
In collaboration with Ventura County Public Health, and the clinic site organizations, St. John's will hold flu shot clinics throughout Oxnard and Camarillo beginning November 8. Clinics will be held through November 2007, or while vaccine supply lasts. No appointment is necessary. For more information, call 805-988-2865.
Cost: Flu Shots: $25. Pneumonia Shots: $30 (available to persons 19 years of age and older). Medicare Part B recipients should bring their Medicare Part B card. If you have Medicare Part B and are not enrolled in a senior HMO, St. John's can bill Medicare for your flu and pneumonia shots. Fee waivers or discounts may be available for those who qualify.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommend this vaccine for:
-All persons 50 years of age or older
-Residents of long-term facilities
-Persons 6 months to 18 years of age on chronic aspirin therapy
-Persons older than 6 month of age with chronic illness or a weakened immune system
-Pregnant women
-All children 6 months through 59 months (5 years) of age, their household contacts, and caretakers
-Caregivers and healthcare workers
