VCEDA to host VC Tech reception
Community businesses are invited to attend an informational networking reception for the Ventura County Technology Group (VC Tech) 4-7 p.m. Nov. 8 at Tutti's Off Main, 34 North Palm in Ventura, presented by VCEDA. VC Tech is a new initiative of TRIAD - VCEDA's program to stimulate economic development with Naval Base Ventura County and the military. VC Tech is a group of local businesses that have come together in order to individually or collectively compete for military contracts and procurement requests. The group was started in August 2007.
"VC Tech is just the sort of effort we had envisioned when we created TRIAD, said Howard Smith, VCEDA chair. "It will provide Ventura County businesses with an opportunity to compete in markets they might not otherwise have been competitive."
The reception is a way for area businesses to come together, share ideas and ultimately benefit from this unique relationship. Drinks and light refreshments will be served. Global Energy & Technology, Inc., one of TRIAD's founding members, is hosting the event.
Established in 1949 and recognized as a credible political force, VCEDA's mission is to advocate for policies, legislation and programs that stimulate business and a vital economy as the foundation for a vibrant quality of life in Ventura County. VCEDA gives members an opportunity to interact with Ventura County's civic, corporate, small business and government leaders for a voice in planned, quality growth.
