Highlights: Calabasas — Singles player Brittney Harper and the doubles team of Tiffany Harper-Afton Ashforth won three of their sets without losing a game.

Highlights: Thousand Oaks — Singles players Tara Erb, Veronica Li and the doubles team of Ashley King-Neda Iradjpanah won all three of their sets. Royal — The doubles team of Amanda Baltazar-Lisa Carter won two of three sets.

Highlights: Westlake — No. 1 singles player Christy Needles won two of here three sets, as did No. 1 doubles team Taylor Medlock and Chelsea Reynolds and No. 2 team Daniela Koss and Mikayla Miletrich. Simi Valley — No. 2 Jessica Phan and No. 3 Tori White each won two singles sets as did Lexie Daniel Jen Hoang in No. 3 doubles.

Highlights: Ventura — Evan Watson was third in the men's shortboard division. Elliot Bender was fifth and Ian O'Hollaren was sixth. Victoria Rossin was second in women's shortboard and Marissa Hood fourth. In women's longboard, Rossin was second, Hood third and Janie Powers sixth. Travis Riley was second in longboard and Bryan O'Shea fifth. Nick Ingarfill was fifth in bodyboard and Alex Wallace sixth.

SOCCER

REGIONALS SCHEDULED

United States Youth Soccer has announced the dates and locations for the 2008 regional championships. The Eagles Soccer Club of Camarillo and the Real SoCal Soccer Club are defending national champions. The Eagles won the under-17 championship for girls and the Real SoCal boys have won three straight national championships. Regional tournaments will be held in Honolulu; Portland, Maine; Raleigh and Wilson, N.C., and Rockford, Ill. The West Region in Hawaii will be June 16-22 at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Park. The Midwest tournament will be June 20-25. Bowdowin College and Falmouth High will host the East Regional June 26-July 1. The South Regional will be June 19-25. The regional champions in 2008 advance to nationals in North Little Rock, Ark., July 22-27, at the Burns Park Soccer Complex.

CONEJO VALLEY UNITED WINS PAIR

Coast Soccer League Cup

Highlights: Conejo Valley United — The under-19 Blue Pride won a pair of pool play games. The Pride defeated the West Coast United 4-0. Kristin Cameron scored two goals and had an assist. Jennifer Arauz and Kendall Dreyer added goals. Annie Jackson, Lisa Tenorino and Dreyer had assists. The Pride defeated the Riverside MGFM Starz 4-0. Chelsea DeNova, Jackson, Cameron and Marie Hirsh scored goals off assists by Arauz, Gabby Leon, Dreyer and Jordann Schoonover. Goalkeepers Leon and Chelsea Vandergeest played well.

REAL CALIFORNIA SECURES SECOND PLACE

Coast League

Highlights: Real California — The under-14 boys lost to BRM Juventus 4-3. Real was down 2-0 at the end of the first half. Guilermo Che scored three goals, but fourth-place Juventus (5-4-3) held on for the win. Real faced fifth-place CVU Blue (3-6-3). CVU opened up a 1-0 lead in the first half with a successful penalty kick. Real responded with three goals in the second half for a 3-1 victory. Che scored twice and Connor Reed added one goal. Real (9-3-1) secured second place for the season with 28 points.

REAL CALIFORNIA WINS

Coast League

Highlights: Real California — The under-9 Black team defeated second-place Real SoCal (7-2) 3-1 at North Ranch Park. With the win the Real Cal FC Black is now 8-0 and in first place in the Bronze Beta Division. Goals were scored by Jordyn Geller, Tara McKeown and Lulu Gilbert.

SOUTH COAST RED 10, GOLD COAST RED 2

Ventura County League

Highlights: South Coast — Ben Harvey and Ben Hallock each had two steals, two goals and an assist in the 12-and-under division. Drew Palladino had three steals and a goal. Chelsea Crall had two steals and an assist.

MALIBU 13, SOUTH COAST WHITE 3

Ventura County League

Highlights: South Coast — Jack Kleinick had his first career goal as well as two steals in the 12-and-under division. Jonah Swigart had five blocks in the cage and one steal. Max Huseby had one goal, one assist and four steals. Marton Toth had one assist. Alex Ditto had one steal.

SOUTH COAST WHITE 12, MALIBU 5

Ventura County League

Highlights: South Coast — E.J. Ball had three goals, two assists and two steals in the 14-and-under Division I game. Chris Dilworth had two goals, two assists and a steal. Derek Peters had a goal, an assist and a steal. Goalie Sean Cicchi had five saves, a steal and two assists.

CIA 9, SOUTH COAST RED 8

Ventura County League

Highlights: South Coast — Dominic Valentino had six goals in the 14-and-under Division II. Brayden Casse had four steals. Bryan Bitter and Ross James each had two assists.

TITANS 6, SOUTH COAST WHITE 4

Ventura County League

Highlights: South Coast — Rachel Atkins had one goal, two assists and seven steals in the 14-and-under Division II game. On her birthday, Kelsey Greves had an assist and a steal. Hannah Andrews and Katie Coyle each had one goal. Whitney Stane had one goal and three steals. Shari Rose and Tanya Treshinisk each had one steal. Pheobe Crall had five blocks and two steals.

SOUTH COAST BLUE 7, GOLD COAST RED 4

Ventura County League

Highlights: South Coast — Alec Stroyeck had three goals and two steals in the 14-and-under Division II. Clayden Fogleman scored a goal. Ryan Strickland had eight blocks in the goal and a goal in the field.

Heat Halloween Bash

Highlights: Oxnard — The new seventh- and eighth-grade girls went undefeated in their first tournament. The players are Cynthia Hernandez, Lexy Hinojosa, Hailey Madina, Ari Lualemana, Britnee Jones, Jacki Cabrera, Adrianne Ayala, Riley Abraham, Kiersten Smith (sixth), Morgan Glass (sixth), Miciah Lugo (sixth) and Katie Campbell. (fourth).
