Suspect arrested after alleged stabbing in Ojai

A man was stabbed in the chest around midnight Saturday in the 6000 block of Ojai Avenue in the Rincon area north of Ventura, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department reported.

The suspect, Rocky Scholl, 23, was seen fleeing in a vehicle toward Ventura, officials said, and was later found traveling south on Highway 101 in the Thousand Oaks area.

Scholl was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He was being held at Ventura County Jail Sunday on $515,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing. The victim was being treated Sunday at Ventura County Medical Center. His condition was unknown as of Sunday evening.

The title says this happened in Ojai, but the article says it happened on Ojai Ave., in the Rincon area which is North of Ventura.

your writer must not be very familiar with the local areas....... "6000 block of Ojai Avenue in the Rincon area north of Ventura" ??!! I guess Ojai has moved a little closer to the ocean....

The 6700 block of Ojai Avenue is in county territory, in La Conchita, which is on the Rincon. I believe it is the Southernmost street in that community. The article is correct but the heading is incorrect.

I don't think the victim thinks his stabbing was "alleged" :)

Hopefully this will be the last of the parties on Ojai Avenue. We're tired of picking up beer cans, people urinating in our neighbor's yards and being kept up late at night because of ONE inconsiderate and immature neighbor. Maybe the VCSO will DO SOMETHING when residents on Ojai Avenue complain of loud parties. The under age drinking and acts of violence are not the first time. What next? Gun shots?

More then likely yes! Ojai is not exempt!
