Grass fire breaks out near Rincon Beach

A grass fire was reported late this afternoon at along Highway 101 next to Rincon Beach north of Ventura.

The Ventura County Department was en route to the fire at 5:45 p.m. Some motorists headed south on the highway had pulled their vehicles to the side of the road to look at the fire.

it's not ordinary grass.......it's the medical marijuana that was stolen this morning.

My "should have been a 45 min commute" took 3 hours because of this. Everything was going fine until about a mile past the Sea Cliff offramp going south on the 101.

The motorists did NOT pull over to look at the fire. THE FREEWAY WAS CLOSED FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS!
THAT'S WHY THE MOTORISTS PULLED OVER! I KNOW, I WAS STUCK IN IT.
