KVTA RADIO TO RE-AIR SLEEPY HOLLOW HALLOWEEN NIGHT

(Ventura, CA)-- By listener request, AM 1520 KVTA will re-broadcast last weekend's locally produced thriller "Sleepy Hollow- The Lost Diaries," and stream it over their website at www.kvta.com on Wednesday, October 31st, Halloween night from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, pacific standard time. Actor Malcolm McDowell is the Celebrity Guest Host for the Every Now and Then Theatre's original radio drama.

McDowell, an Ojai resident and star of the new film "Halloween," will introduce a unique countywide cast that showcases top local actors with community notables, students and teachers. The challenge is that cast and crew are allowed one rehearsal then perform. Oxnard High Drama Instructor Bob Decker stars as timid schoolmaster Ichabod Crane who encounters the village specter known as "The Headless Horseman."

"As host, Malcolm introduces the show, reveals the cast and at the breaks relates historical background about Halloween, the real Sleepy Hollow and writer Washington Irving," said Every Now and Then Theatre founder James Wortman of Ventura. Cited as the "finest actor or his generation," McDowell's roles in "O Lucky Man" and "Clockwork Orange" gained him international attention. He can be charming as H.G. Wells in "Time After Time," or chilling as Doctor Loomis in the new film "Halloween." Malcolm is a delight to work with and quite humorous," said Wortman.

"SLEEPY HOLLOW- The Lost Diaries" was written for broadcast by Wortman and co-directed by Linda Stiegler from Thousand Oaks. The cast showcases Mark Andrew Reyes, Bob Decker, James Wortman, Shawn W. Lanz, Arryck Adams, Jeff Schaver, Jim Diderrich, Penny Puente, Michael Voll, Jim Barker, Alex Mastrovito Vanessa Orr, Brittany Schaver, Nicholas Viecco, Elaine Fleisher, Linda Schaver, Deidre Parmenter, Ray Mastrovito, Linda M. Stiegler, David Newcomer, Ronda Voll, Lloyd Allen and Todd Thayer. Sound effects are created live and in studio. Sound Designers are Jim Barker, Tom Mueller and Wortman.

"SLEEPY HOLLOW- The Lost Diaries" radio drama is made possible by resource donations from Debt and Credit Advisors for script printing, Stage 6 Productions for onsite engineering, "Bill's Bar" for performance space, Barkerductions for equipment and AM 1520 KVTA radio for air time.

"2007 marks the 187th anniversary of the publishing of Washington Irving's, 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,'" said Wortman. "Historians credit Irving as the first American to have made his living solely as a writer."
