Deschanel says Yes' to comedy
Zooey Deschanel is starring opposite Jim Carrey in "Yes Man" for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow. Peyton Reed is directing, with David Heyman and Richard Zanuck producing.
Based on British author Danny Wallace's memoir, the story follows a man (Carrey) who decides to change his life by saying yes to everything that comes his way, leading him on a series of unexpected comedic adventures that turn his life upside down.
Deschanel plays the romantic female lead, a woman Carrey meets on his journeys. Bradley Cooper already has been cast as Carrey's best friend.
Heard, Isaak find jobs as Informers'
Amber Heard and Chris Isaak have joined the ensemble cast of "The Informers," an adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel being directed by Gregor Jordan.
Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the script follows seven stories taking course during a week in the life of movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters.
Heard plays a sexually promiscuous woman caught up in the decadence of 1980s L.A., while Isaak will play a sex- and alcohol-obsessed father who takes his young son to Hawaii.
Heard and Isaak join a cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Winona Ryder and Mickey Rourke.
