More from VenturaOctober 25, 2007Photographer Supreme!On Monday night the Ventura City Council gave awards to an upcoming array of future photographers. Of course being the Granddad, I really was only concerned for the award my 5 year old, granddaughter Ava Marin Elise Valerio had won. The city had a contest for 5 to 11 year olds for the best photograph taken at the Ventura Wetlands. My granddaughter won for " Best Wildlife". She had snapped a picture of a Blue Heron while it was looking for a nice fat frog for dinner, so she said the picture was called "Harry the Hungry Heron".Rellis Smith
