What Plan???

November 24, 2007Well That's the Plan... we think!First of all I need to ask all of these newspapers, why, when there is an action on the part of the City Council does the paper always use the phrase, "City Action, City Votes," the "City" is where we all live. It can not in its self cause an action to take place. The people that cause the action to take place are the Gang in the Ivory Tower, (Ventura city Hall) so the headings on all these stories printed in the newpaper should read, "Council Action, Council Votes".Got a little bit off track, what I really wanted to write about is the article in the Star on Oct 24 th that was entitled, "City votes to limit downtown condos." Now after all these many months of harping on "Smart Planning", (cramming as many people as possible in a limited area), it seems the Ventura City Council, (not the City), voted to limit how many people can build Condo's downtown, as the city has been begging the developers to do for years. Now it seems the Gang in the Ivory Tower has pulled one more of their world famous "Action First, Thinking Second" blunders. Now if you are thinking of building condo's downtown along with all the other restrictions the Gang in the Ivory Tower has added another, No residences will be allowed to face directly on Main Street. I seem to remember a speech Mr Rick (King) Cole gave a while ago, I believe the jest of the speech was all about "Public, Private, Partnerships." It appears what Mr Cole meant was we would like a Public, Private, Partnership as long as we all do everything My Way!So anyway here we are about to experience another large bump on this road to perfection in the Ivory Tower.Rellis Smith
