STUDENT ARTISTS SHOW IT OFF
ANNUAL PACIFIC VIEW MALL STUDENT ART EXHIBIT AND ART EXPERIENCE ANNOUNCE WINNERS
It was all hands-on art as the teaching staff of Art Trek, a regional art education organization based inWestlake Village,guided children and their families through the steps to creating their own tie-dye banners at the Pacific View Mall. It cameduring the annual Ventura County Arts Week 2007 Pacific View Mall K-12 Student Art Exhibit, October 5-14.
All visitors to the mall were also invited to vote for their favorite picture in the exhibit. The winners each receive a $25 Gift Certificate from Pacific View Mall.
The Ventura County Arts Council and the management of Pacific View Mall are pleased to announce the winners:
Grades K-2 - " Green Dragon" by Aliya Fang, Thousand Oaks, 2nd Grade, Lang Ranch Elementary & The Art Den;
Grades 3-5 - "Elephant" by Haley Garcia, Oxnard, 4th Grade, Thurgood Marshall Elementary;
Grades 6-8 - " Midnight Angel" by Shannon Macias, 6th Grade, Home Schooled, Ventura;
and Grades 9-12 - "Cute and Clean" by Rachel Dixon, Simi Valley, 9th Grade, Santa Susana High School & The Art Den.
