Highlights: Thousand Oaks — Alec Camara scored four touchdowns, including a scoring pass. Jack Vanorb played well at quarterback. Nathan DeBekes played well. The defense was led by Ethan Lavoie, Camara and Max Quiroz. Tony Anaya, Garrett, Potteet, Andrew DeMello, Randy Suehs and Marcus Piechowski anchored the offensive line. The Titans will play Newbury Park on Saturday for the conference title. Ventura — Running back Jose Barajos, receiver Ryan Sohn, tailback and defensive end Jake Hamilton, linebacker and running back Casey Sturgeon, quarterback Rodney Stanley and middle linebacker Matt McFadden played well. The Packers will host the West Ventura Panthers on Saturday,

Highlights: Port Hueneme — The Rhinos celebrated a homecoming victory. Offensive linemen Robert Montelongo, Willie Romero, Deon Sanford, Joeseph Moeslein and Angel Borjas blocked well. Quarterback Christian Short passed for two touchdowns to Antwain Galloway. Louie Phelps scored two touchdowns with the blocking help of Vincent Barnes. Micheal Maldonado was all over the field on defense with an interception and a recovered fumble. Keith McDougal provided the pressure from the defensive end spot to force a fumble and two interceptions. Other defensive standouts were DaShaun Nixon, Alonte Pless, Fernando Gonzalez and Adam Landon.

CAMARILLO SILVER 22, VENTURA GRAY 8
PYFL Bantam Division
Highlights: Camarillo — P.J. Blair had a big game with 227 yards on 13 carries and touchdown runs of 94 and 70 yards. Colby Stevens added to the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run. Stevens finished with 35 rushing yards. Elijah Alexander had three carries for 24 yards and a reception for a two-point conversion. Noah Amerault had a carry for 12 yards. Eddie Guerrero recovered an onside kick. Brett Herron had five tackles and a sack. J.R. Sadowsky added four tackles. The offensive line played well with Chad O'Connor, Shane Anderson, Aaron Bryd, Peter Carter, Guerrero, Jay Hembree, Brad Kooker, Ben Mathiews and J.J. Sadowsky.

PYFL Peewee Division
Highlights: Camarillo — Tavis Valenzuela rushed for 69 yards. Sammy Balentine added 9 yards and Reece Knupp had 23 yards, including a touchdown. On defense, DeLondon Johnson had a tackle. Caleb Eakin had a tackle and one assist. Tony Burgos two tackles and two assists. Chandler Simpson, D.J. Hohman, and Connor Clark all had two tackles and three assists. Alex Sarti had three tackles and five assists. Bryce Binnette had three tackles and three assists. Knupp had three tackles, two assists and one interception. Valenzuela had five tackles. Mauricio Torres led the defense with six tackles, one assist and a fumble recovery. Hohman, Sarti and Colin Carter all recovered fumbles.
AGOURA/OAK PARK 38, SANTA CLARITA 16
PYFL Bantam Division
Highlights: Agoura/Oak Park — Adam Kerner scored on a 19-yard run on the opening drive and the Eagles went on to dominate. Niko Harris scored after he stripped the ball from a Santa Clarita receiver. Harris would score again on a 26-yard run to make it 18-0. Kerner scored his second touchdown to make it 26-0. The Eagles held a 26-8 lead at halftime. Harris and Kerner added touchdowns in the second half.
OXNARD 49ERS 14, CAMARILLO WHITE 8
PYFL Junior Division
Highlights: Oxnard — The 49ers ran their win streak to five straight and the defense held off the Roadrunners. Angel Sapien scored two touchdowns from strong blocking from Tyrone Faanono, Javier Vazques, Paul Vasquez, Steven Madera and Jessie Ayala. The defense was paced by Oscar Garcia, Matthew Velasquez, Trey Howard, Alex Pantoja, Alfred de la Cerda, Victor Nuno and Rick Estrada.
Record: Oxnard 5-2.
OXNARD 44, CAMARILLO BLACK 22
PYFL Senior Division
Highlights: Oxnard — Conner Armstrong led the scoring with three touchdowns and returned a recovery for a fourth touchdown. Likaki Palmer had a 66-yard touchdown. George Guzman was on the receiving end of touchdown pass from Jason Balades. Mia Valaoga scored a touchdown and a pair of two-point conversions. The defense was led by Hosea Faagogo, Oscar Reyes and Sal Gutierrez.

PYFL Junior Division
Highlights: Agoura/Oak Park — Kyle Espinoza ran the ball well. The Eagles had several scoring chances, but couldn't convert.
NEWBURY PARK 42, MOORPARK 22
PYFL Peewee Division
Highlights: Moorpark — Justin Rucker led the offense with a 40- and 60-yard touchdowns. Alex Bill scored with a 45-yard touchdown. The defense was led by Ezra Salazar with two sacks.
MOORPARK 26, NEWBURY PARK 0
PYFL Junior Division
Highlights: Moorpark — The Saints offense was led by Jesse Paredes, Matthew Sutherland, Justin Rodriguez and Reno Dubreuil, who combined to rush for more than 200 yards. Paredes scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Quarterback Anthony Upshaw ran for a touchdown and threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Steven Pardo. Silvestre Bautista and Torin Perryclear led the defense with the most tackles. Also contributing with numerous tackles were Pardo, Paredes, Upshaw and Matt Obreiter. Randy Barker had an interception. The Saints are tied for second place in their division.
SIMI VALLEY SILVER 34, CASTAIC GOLD 14
PYFL Bantam Division
Highlights: Simi Valley — Kyle Carrillo scored two touchdowns. Tanner Darling, Oscar Madrigal and Brandon Shook added touchdowns. The defense was led by Jonathan Aguilar, Madrigal and the entire line. Robert Miller recovered an onside kick to open the game.
Record: Simi Valley 4-3.
CAMARILLO 38, GRACE BRETHREN 8
Gold Coast Youth League Bantam Division
Highlights: Camarillo — Blake Selig opened the game with an 85-yard kickoff return. It was Selig's second opening kickoff touchdown. Tanner Wrout added a two-point conversion run. Wrout scored on a 4-yard run. Andrew Wysocki added the two-point conversion. Jake Maulhardt scored on runs of 7 and 64 yards. James Turner scored two PATs. Ben Quantock scored the final touchdown on a 2-yard run. The offensive line was led by James Webster, Cody Greiman, Connor Soudani, Kaden Valdivieso, Tyler Southerland, Sean Santoyo and Daniel Webster. The Cougars had some nice runs by Soudani, Turner, Jordan Hardisty, Patrick Meyers, Webster, Nick Renga and Greiman. Wysocki played well at quarterback, passing for more than 100 yards. Quantock led the defense with several sacks and good containment. Andrew Delgado had five tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Wrout block a punt that was recovered by Maulhardt, who returned it 30 yards. Maulhardt also had four sacks and a fumble recovery. Cameron Dorthlina and Martin Prado each had pass interceptions. Other contributors on defensive were Johnny Ruiz, Valdivieso, Mitchell Haeterich, Santoyo and Hardisty.

MOORPARK GOLD 39,
HARVARD-WESTLAKE 8
GCYFL Junior II Division
Highlights: Moorpark — The Packers used all of their offensive weapons to beat the Wolverines. There were three rushing touchdowns by three different running backs, including Corey Lee, Taylor Ready and Dustin Torrans. Jackson Hall threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Nick Tucker. Ariel Kracer had a perfect game, kicking three PATs. All of the scores were made possible by the blocking of Adam Cutsforth, Jared Mattera, Conner Gery, Clay Fenske, Nathan Schott, Brandon Hughes and Kevin Victoria. The defense was led by Alex Hoang with an interception and Omar Rizk with three tackles.
SIMI GREEN 12, SANTA CLARITA 8
GCYFL Mighty Mite Division
Highlights: Simi — The Vikings improved to 7-0 with a tough win over previously undefeated Santa Clarita. It was a hard-fought game to the very end. The Simi defense was led by Jake Simons, Anthony Acosta, Casey Crawford, Kyler Escutia and Chandler Herpich. The Simi Green offensive line of Vincenzo McFadden, Joseph Fagen, Brandon Thompson, Gage Jimenez, Bryce Albaugh, Sebastian Vega and Tyler Dobbs opened some big holes for Dallas Holliday, who scored two touchdowns. The Vikings play Moorpark on Saturday.

CONEJO VALLEY UNITED BLUE PRIDE WINS Coast League
Highlights: Conejo Valley United — The girls under-19 team has earned at least a tie for first place in the Gold Division winning its last eight games. The Gold Division is the second-highest division in the Coast Soccer League with only the Premier division being higher. The Pride finished with nine wins and only one loss. In the last four games, the Pride was victorious. The Pride defeated the Bakersfield Gunners 5-1 as Kendall Dreyer scored three goals. Gabby Leon and Chelsea Vandergeest added goals. Dara Deaton, Lisa Tenorino, Stephanie Elliott and Leon had assists. The Pride defeated the Slammers North 3-1 aS Elliott scored off an assist by Jordann Schoonover. Jennifer Arauz scored and Kristin Cameron scored off an assist by Deaton. Schoonover converted a free kick in the 2-0 win over LAFC. Arauz scored off an assist by Kristin Cameron. Annie Jackson scored two goals in the 5-1 win over Real California. Deaton, Sasha Arya and Dreyer contributed goals. Dreyer had four assists and Vandergeest had an assists. The players are Arauz, Arya, Kristin Cameron, Ashley Cheney, Deaton, Chelsea DeNova, Dreyer, Allie DuBois, Stephanie Elliott, Kristen Heffernen, Marie Hirsh, Jackson, Leon, Brooke Mandell, Schoonover, Rebecca Seguancia, Tenorino and Vandergeest. Eric Privat is the coach.
REAL CALIFORNIA BLACK WINS
Coast League
Highlights: Real California — The under-9 girls defeated Real SoCal Blue 3-1. With the win, coach Tim Kelly's team moves to 6-0 and a spot alone in first place in the Bronze Beta Division at the halfway point of the season. Tara McKeown had a goal and an assist. Courtney Worstell and Grace Resnik each scored. Jordyn Geller had an assist. A late goal by Real SoCal ended the team's five game shutout streak. Real California was coming off a 3-0 win over the Simi Valley Eclipse 3-0. Sadie Lutz and Worstell were in goal. The defense was led by Mia Jordan, Resnik, Lulu Gilbert, Arielle Dimalanta, Brenna Belanger and Kayla Flores. McKeown led scored two goals. Worstell scored and had an assist. Geller, Flores and Belanger each had an assist. Real California also defeated the Valley United Soccer Club Stars 10-0 and the Camarillo Eagles Blue 4-0.
SIMI VALLEY ECLIPSE 9, GRANADA SC 0
Coast League
Highlights: Simi Valley — The under-15 boys maintained a one-point lead over the Palmdale Thunder for first Place with two games left in the Silver North Division. In a windy Granada Hills Sunday morning, the Eclipse dominated the game from the beginning. Jordan Strassner had four goals before halftime and three of them came within four minuets of each other. Strassner finished the game with a season-high five goals and leads the team with 19 goals. Other scorers were Thor English who added two goals in the second half and moved himself up to the No. 4 goal scorer on Eclipse. Cody Hyman and Chris Horne each added a goal to cap off the game. Sean Upson is number two for goals scored with 13 and Honorio Hernandez is number three with seven goals for the season. The defense lead by Joe Membrilla kept Granada from only having two shots on goal. The Eclipse will play against the host California Stars of Agouraon Sunday.
CHAVIRA WINS
AYSO/Elks Shootout
Ventura's Marissa Chavira, the under-10 kicker, advanced from the Ventura competition on Spept. 16, to win the Elks District championship Oct. 7 in in Santa Maria. Chavira won the Oct. 13 California Elks championship in West Covina.
WATER POLO
TITANS 12, MALIBU 3
Ventura County League
Highlights: Titans — Joe Yamamoto led the 14-and-under Division I effort with four goals, three assists and two steals. Zac Womack had three goals, an assist and two steals. Courtney Walters, Abby McCardell, Bess Grode, Nick Vallejo and Nick Ratekin each added a goal. Brendan Kirk had an assist and three steals. Walters also had an assist and two steals. Ratekin and Vallejo each had two steals. Zibe DeForsest had a steal. Vallejo had two saves. Womack and Kirk each had a save.
GOLD COAST BLUE 6, TITANS 4
Ventura County League
Highlights: Titans — Austin Navarro scored two goals in the 14-and-under Division II game. Hailey Wiggins and Zack Davis added goals. Frankie Tomasello had one assist. Annie MacKenzie had five assists and Navarro four. Wiggins and J.D. Heard had two assists. Kyle Walthall had a save. Jesse Craig won several sprints.
SWIMMING
BUENAVENTURA HOSTS GRAHAM MEET
The Buenaventura Swim Club will host the 38th Annual David Graham Memorial Swim Meet on November 3 and 4 at the Ventura Aquatics Center in Ventura. More than 600 competitors, ages 5-18, will participate in the first Coastal Section championship meet of the year. Teams planning to attend are from Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. Swimmers ages five to 12 will swim in the mornings, starting at 9 a.m., while ages 13-18 will swim in the afternoons on both days. All events are short-course races, measured in yards. The meet is named in honor of former Buenaventura swimmer David Graham, who died while serving in the Vietnam War. The Buenaventura Swim Club was founded in the early 1960s as a non-profit club and is overseen by a volunteer board of directors. It has produced multiple Olympic Trials qualifiers and Ventura County Swimmers of the Year. The club seeks to develop the character of each athlete through positive reinforcement, goal-setting, time management, personal accountability and team spirit. AGOURA FINISHES SECOND
At North-South Challenge
Highlights: Agoura — The Chargers lost in the championship game to Villa Park 5-4 on Saturday. Peter Kurzeka scored two goals and Brandon Gross had one. Ryan Paris made five saves. Kurzeka had three goals and two steals to lead a 6-3 semifinal win over Los Alamitos. Paris had eight saves. The Chargers were up 5-0 with two minutes left in the third quarter and Los Alamitos scored two goals in the final three minutes. In the second game, Agoura defeated El Toro 11-8 in overtime. Kurzeka had three goals, two assists and four steals. Gross, Matt Carlson, Joey Sparks and Calvin Moffett each had two goals. Paris had nine saves. Agoura had a 4-0 lead early, but the game was tied 7-7 after regulation. In overtime, El Toro scored first an Agoura responded with four straight goals. In the opening game, Kurzeka had five goals and two steals in an 1 win over Menlo School. Gross had three steals and three goals. Casey Sullivan, Carslon and James Altmann contributed goals. Paris made five saves.
Record: Agoura 22-2.
