Glen Tavern Ghost Hunt

What better place to have a ghost hunters field trip than the old Glen Tavern Inn located in Santa Paula. The place has long been rumored to have phantoms and recently a ghost conferance was held here. The 18 members of the class in ghost hunting, offered by the contining education services at Ventura College, gathered with all their tools to walk the house and see what they could "pick up." The group was rewarded with many mysterious "orbs" photographed in the lobby (many in the ladies bathroom). Psychics in the group were rewarded by feeling a presence or twoon each floor. One of the most persisetnt ghosts, Calvin, made himself know by the smell of his fine cigar. There is no smoking in the inn. Legends say he was shot in the 1920s on the thirdfloor. He was playing an illegal card game andwhen five aces turned up they knew Cal hadbeen cheateating. Pistols were draw and Calvin was shot and killed. One member felt the presence ofhis ghost in room 228. Perhaps, Calvin had a room in the Inn and haunts that as well as 307, on the top floor, where themurder is said to have been done. Everyone in the group came away convinved the 1911 Inn was haunted and well haunted indeed.
